Dr. Adonia Hsu, Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologist
Dr. Adonia Hsu is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist. She
received her VMD in 2003 from the University of Pennsylvania School of
Veterinary Medicine. She practiced general veterinary medicine in Park
Slope, Brooklyn, NY for several years before deciding to pursue the
specialty of cardiology. Dr. Hsu completed a one year small animal
internship at Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Lawndale, CA followed
by a residency in cardiology at the University of California Davis. Dr.
Hsu has a special interest in interventional cardiology, including
transvascular PDA occlusion, balloon valvuloplasty for pulmonic
stenosis, and transvenous pacemaker placement. She has an
interest in cardiology not only for dogs and cats, but also other species of
animals from hamsters to horses. Dr. Hsu joins us from Seattle, where
she was voted one of the Top Veterinarians in Seattle for 2011 in
Seattle Met magazine.
